This is Kevin's first collection of nested meditations since Divinity in Disguise (2003). It contains nearly five times as many meditations as that debut work, one per day for a full year. Each page presents a brief meditation that will surprise and delight you and offer unexpected insight.

Here are a few samples from the book:

I fired my mind today.

I fired my mind today

and hired God.

I fired my mind today

and hired God

to fire my mind every day.

I fired my mind today

and hired God

to fire my mind every day

with the energy that made the stars

My spiritual path is becoming steep.

My spiritual path is becoming steep-

ed in God like a teabag.

My spiritual path is becoming steep-

ed in God. Like a teabag

I've gotten myself in Divine hot water.

My spiritual path is becoming steep-

ed in God. Like a teabag

I've gotten myself in Divine hot water

and cut off the dipping string.

I will not be punished for my anger.

I will not be punished for my anger,

I will be punished by my anger.

I will not be punished for my anger,

I will be punished by my anger

making me hit bottom again and again.

I will not be punished for my anger,

I will be punished by my anger

making me hit bottom. Again and again

God says: Dredge the channel of My Peace.

I will not be punished for my anger,

I will be punished by my anger

making me hit bottom. Again and again

God says: Dredge the channel of My Peace

deeper in you—deeper than the deepest darkness passing through.

(First two lines attributed to Buddha.)

The world is old and ever new.

The world is old and ever new

in every living thing.

The world is old and ever new

in every living thing

being itself.

The world is old and ever new

in every living thing

Being Itself

is made manifest.
